Express Care Q & A

What is express care?

Express care is a walk-in, urgent care service available at Catalyst Medical Group. Our entrance is on the west side of the building.

Our primary care and surgical departments are on call, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. To reach them please call 208.746.1383 after hours, weekends and holidays.

The locally owned multi-specialty clinic is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for the community.

When you need treatment for a minor illness or injury and you can’t get an appointment with your primary care provider, the team at Catalyst Medical Group can help with express care. The walk-in clinic is open seven days a week and has weekend and after-hours care.

What conditions does express care treat?

The team treats many non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries through their express care clinic. This includes:

  • Sore throat
  • Earache
  • Cough or cold
  • Sports injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Flu and fever
  • Vomiting and diarrhea
  • Minor cuts that may need stitches

The full-service practice provides complex lab testing and radiology services in conjunction with your express care visit.

If you have a life-threatening injury — head injury, gaping wound, or chest pain — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Catalyst Medical Group only manages minor health issues at their express care clinic.

What can I expect during my express care visit?

You can expect compassionate and comprehensive treatment at Catalyst Medical Group’s express care clinic. They provide care for people of all ages, including those with a primary care provider at a different practice.

After our clinic team gets basic information about your health, our provider reviews your symptoms, concerns, medical history, and the types of medications and supplements you take.

After your exam, your provider talks to you about their findings and provides any on-site treatment, along with prescriptions and referrals if needed.

We recommend you follow up with your primary care provider for additional health services following your express care appointment.

Express care, at Catalyst Medical Group, ensures you get the medical attention you require when you can’t get in to see your primary care provider.
